Hive Empire - Incremental Strategy Prototype
Manage the Hive. Optimize the Flow.
Hive Empire is a portfolio prototype that combines incremental mechanics with logistics strategy. Your goal is to build an efficient, automated pollen delivery network against the clock of a 21-week seasonal campaign.
⚠️ Prototype Notice: This project is a showcase of game development skills (Unity/C#, Event-based UI, ScriptableObjects). It focuses on systems architecture rather than extensive content.
Playtime: ~20-30 minutes per run.
Platform: WebGL (Optimized for 60 FPS with 100+ entities).
How it Works:
- Allocated Automation: You don't control bees individually. Instead, you manage a global fleet, allocating resources to specific flower patches.
- Supply Chain Logic: Bees gather pollen → Deliver to Hive → Auto-craft Honey.
- Seasonal Constraints: Spring, Summer, and Autumn bring dynamic modifiers to speed and income. You must adapt your layout before Winter arrives.
Key Technical Features:
- Data-Driven Design: All recipes, seasons, and biome stats are decoupled from logic for easy balancing.
- Visual Feedback Systems: Real-time bee trails and resource tracking without UI clutter.
- Exponential Economy: Multi-ingredient recipes create complex dependency chains.

I was gonna play but the description made me withdraw by "against the clock". I have to manage my whole day "against the clock" i don´t need it in my spare time AGAIN. That's a real shame, because the game looks really cool in the pictures.
Gameplay and a hint of critique ;)
I think one of the recipes is meant to be 1500 instead of 2500, it feels like a weird bump in progression and the one below is 2400. Nice early game though, love the seasons progressing
fun lil game, the replay button glitches out the game and u need to refresh to start again, but everything else worked great.
